GREAT MIGRATIONS

Great Migrations

Shaped the on-air campaign for NatGeo's landmark Great Migrations event — a sweeping, cinematic promo system that traced the planet's most epic animal journeys across land, sea, and sky.

Great Migrations was a landmark National Geographic event series tracking the planet's most demanding animal journeys across land, sea, and sky. The challenge was to build an on-air campaign that felt like one epic story rather than a set of unrelated wildlife segments, while giving each species — wildebeest, zebra, monarch butterfly — its own recognizable identity.

The approach designed a promo system around movement itself: repetition, migration paths, and mass motion translated into typographic and graphic rhythm. Poster and key art treatments used pattern and formation to communicate scale, so a single frame conveyed millions of animals in motion.

The result was a cinematic campaign toolkit — promos, key art, and print posters — that scaled across the event's rollout while keeping one unified visual voice for the series.
